Come relax and taste various refreshments as we explore new topics and meet new friends. This will be a casual experience where we will have conversation starters to create discussions. No homework or prep for this group.

Crossways: The Gospels and Acts
In this 10 session Crossways Overview of the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Luke’s Part Two book called “Acts” we go over the final rescue of God’s people through the ministry of Jesus the Messiah: from the key issues that were happening in First-Century Judaism to the Early Church Leaders and the Apostle Paul bringing the Good News of Jesus to the world after His Ascension. This study uses graphic illustrations to help participants understand and remember important biblical concepts and themes. There are two books that accompany this course so we will be asking for a $20 donation to cover the charge.

Crocheting & Knitting Lessons
You don’t need to be a Granny to make a Granny Square or to learn how to use a crochet hook or knitting needles. One professional football player crochets and a Lady Roller Derby team even published their own knitting pattern book. Join us to learn beginning steps and create a small project. Hooks, needles and materials will be provided or bring your own. This group will be continuous.

He Speaks to Me
This group will learn how to develop a personal relationship with God through open communication with Him. The power of trust and obedience is gained by fearing Him and getting to know our God Almighty. You can learn the skill of hearing God speak to you through scripture and the presence of the Holy Spirit within you. One or two sessions may be offered depending on demand and time. This group will be using the book by Priscilla Shirer, “He speaks to me.”

This group will gather weekly to create some jewelry and fellowship together. The first project will be earrings.

What is a Growth Group?
Growth Groups are Hosanna’s groups of 15-20 people that meet to learn more about the Bible, grow in their faith, and hang with some great new friends.
Is there a group that’s right for me?
There are various groups to choose from this semester that meet at different times and almost every day of the week, so you’ll have the chance to find the group that is right for you. And you’ll have the opportunity to meet others who share your experiences.
(Let us know if you do not find a group that works for you because of the time it is offered or interest, so we can continue to plan for upcoming semesters.)

What happens when I sign up?
When you sign up, the leader of your new Growth Group will contact you and introduce themselves and provide any needed information to have a great experience.
When will my group meet?
Our Growth Groups meet once a week, and each meeting is just 60-90 minutes long. Groups meet 10-12 times over the semester. It’s a short-term commitment but the positive impact on your life will be long-term.
How much do the materials cost?
There is no required cost. We accept donations!
What will the people in my group be like?
Growth Groups are made up of a variety of people who attend Hosanna. You’ll meet some new people as well as reconnect with familiar faces. Growth Groups are a safe and fun way to connect with others and meet some wonderful people.
